Indeok Foods CEO Lee Indeok Receives the Proud Gimhae CEO Award in October

On October 7, Gimhae City awarded Indeok Foods CEO Lee Indeok the ‘Proud Gimhae CEO Award for October’ at the Gimhae City Hall main conference room.

Since 2004, the city has been selecting outstanding business leaders who have contributed to the development of local industry and economy each month and awarding them the Proud CEO Award.

Indeok Foods, founded in 2002, is a specialized rice cake production company that has expanded the rice consumption base through product development using domestically grown rice. Its diverse product lineup, adapted to changing market demands, has earned recognition for commercial viability both domestically and internationally.

Thanks to these achievements, the company has received several honors including selection as an Innovative Product at the 2020 Seoul Awards, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ Commendation in 2022 for outstanding small and medium-sized enterprise management, and the Prime Minister’s Commendation on Agriculture Day 2023.

In addition, through efforts to enter overseas markets via Halal certification and EAC (Eurasian Conformity) certification, Indeok Foods received the $500,000 Export Tower Award for agricultural and fishery products in 2023. Since 2022, the company has also consistently donated its products to local children’s centers and welfare facilities, leading efforts to promote traditional foods and coexistence with the community.

CEO Lee Indeok said, <em>“I am honored to receive the Proud Gimhae CEO Award. We will continue striving to develop and distribute safe food products and lead the local economy through the globalization of K-food.”</em>
